The first time I took my daughter on an airplane was pretty much the most awkward day of my life!
I was just minding my own business when the lady standing behind the counter called me up to go ahead of all of the "zones" since I had an infant... I felt like she was literally feeding me to the sharks; bad enough I have the baby but now I get to cut in front of everyone all because of the "company policy" I saw it written on their faces. I think I even heard someone growl at me as I walked by! So as I walk toward the door, I hear someone say "oh my goodness, I hope she doesn't have a seat next to me!"
I mean the nerve of these people, people hijack planes with knives and bombs and you're losing it over a baby!? So I find my seat and settle in; lucky for me its an aisle seat. The passengers start to file in and take their seats, and then the "unlucky" two come in. (I know because they had the awww man look on their faces when they saw where I was sitting) So I stand up to let them into their seats and they both plop down in their seats with big sighs.
To make a long story short; the flight was great and the baby didn't bother anybody, but oh did they bother her! They wanted to see how cute she was, and they couldn't believe how good she was. All she was trying to do was sleep, but everyone else had other plans for my little princess.
I can't believe the way parents are treated for bringing a baby on board; as if they were little bombs!! So to all parents out there that have to bring their kids on the plane, more power to you because I know how you feel. This post is just for you!
